About

Zach serves as a senior client services executive in HORNE’s government group, where he works as a liaison with the clients of the Inflation Reduction Act Energy Programs. He assists clients in the design and implementation of the programs, balancing funding and policy restraints against a desire for market transformation and long-term impacts for the states for energy efficiency, electrification and job market growth in the energy trades. His expertise in energy, utility and program development allows him to ensure that his clients feel stable in the ever-changing industry of energy efficiency and electrification.

Zach joined the firm with more than 10 years of energy program management experience. He previously managed a product development and data analytics team and was responsible for creating and overseeing a portfolio of utility demand-side management, renewable energy, and emerging technology programs. He also led a cross-functional Innovation Team focused on new product initiatives and continuous process improvement, as well as an engineering and IT-centric team working to deliver a distributed energy resources management software platform to modernize distribution grid modeling and management for the organization. In a prior role, Zach was responsible for the start-up and program management of energy efficiency programs in North America across residential and commercial sectors.

Zach earned his Master of Science in Sustainable Management, Bachelor of Science in Economics, Conservation Biology and Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin. He is a Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
