Maribel Gatica serves as a government services senior manager at HORNE. She specializes in collaborating with state and local government units to design and administer their Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Community Development Block Grant – Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) programs. She ensures strict adherence to all governmental regulations, drafting and developing policies and procedures. Maribel also leads the quality assurance and quality control team for Disaster Recovery and Mitigation programs, providing invaluable technical support to government entities and staff.
Maribel joined the firm in 2021 with more than 15 years of experience with local, state and federal programs. She has served as chief of staff and senior policy advisor to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Maribel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Houston – Downtown.
