HORNE Tops $1 Billion in Rental Assistance to Residents in 5 States

HORNE and its partners have disbursed more than $1.2 billion in rental assistance to over 150,000 individuals and families in five states.

“We have worked with our clients to set up these programs quickly so the people who have suffered economic impacts due to COVID-19 can get money quickly,” said Jonathan Krebs, managing partner for Government Services at HORNE. “We will continue our efforts to ensure that as many people as possible receive assistance.”

HORNE’s Government Services division currently is administering rental assistance programs in Alabama, California, Colorado, Tennessee and Texas.

These eight programs are a result of the CARES Act funding sent to states and counties from the federal government to help those adversely impacted by COVID-19.

Since the emergency rental assistance program began, HORNE has received approximately 533,000 applications totaling more than $3.6 billion. So far, HORNE has disbursed over $1 billion to 169,000 applicants.
