Christopher Shannon is a director in the government services practice at HORNE, where he provides subject matter expertise and oversight to HORNE’s financial implementation team in Puerto Rico. The damage left behind by natural disasters creates a significant and unexpected challenge for government entities, and working in disaster relief allows Christopher to use his experience and expertise to pursue his passion of finding solutions to complex issues and helping people get back in their homes.
Christopher joined the firm in 2020 and has five years of experience as the controller for the SANDY Recovery Division of New Jersey. During that time, Christopher’s division managed over $4 billion SANDY CDBG-DR grant funds for nine counties along the shoreline of New Jersey.
Christopher received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Niagara University and a Master in Finance & Entrepreneurship from the University of Rochester.
