Anna Stroble is a government services partner at HORNE where her primary focus has been helping multiple states and local agencies with disaster response. Leveraging her background in developing successful solutions for complex challenges in disaster recovery, Anna has served numerous disaster-impacted states, cities and regions by proactively guiding the communities as their strategic vision for recovery is developed. She also serves on HORNE’s Board of Directors.
Anna joined the firm in 2015 after practicing law for more than 10 years in the areas of commercial transactions, government relations, federal and state regulatory compliance, corporate law and government contracts. After Hurricane Katrina, Anna served as senior legal counsel for Mississippi’s CDBG-DR programs. Her broad experience in recovery includes the development and oversight of all types of programs critical to a comprehensive recovery: housing, infrastructure and economic revitalization. While serving in these roles, Anna has had the opportunity to counsel executive branches of state governments and administering state agencies on high-profile disaster recovery programs. In addition to her advisory role, she has also served in the important role of oversight counsel for multiple CDBG-DR programs ensuring compliance in critical areas including procurement, fair housing, Section 3, labor standards and national objective. Anna is frequently requested to serve as a guest speaker for jurisdictions participating in the CDBG and CDBG-DR programs regarding the best ways to marry the compliance requirements with the program purposes and needs of devastated communities. Anna is passionate about helping communities implement the program requirements, not only to ensure compliance, but to facilitate through compliance the growth and possibility available under federal recovery programs.
Anna earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Mississippi College and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi.
