Alex Yarbrough is a government services senior manager at HORNE, where he currently serves as a subject matter expert in policy guidance and interpretation, federal procurement requirements, and leveraging combined funding streams. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, he has collaborated with clients and project managers to design and implement programs that distribute billions of dollars in Coronavirus Relief and Fiscal Recovery funds.
Over his career, Alex has worked in partnership with state and local governments from coast to coast as they have recovered and rebuilt after major disaster events. With experience in cross-cutting federal requirements, he previously led Puerto Rico’s Non-Federal Match Program, the largest program of its kind in disaster recovery history.
Alex joined HORNE in 2006 and has more than 16 years of experience in federal grant administration, with an emphasis on FEMA PA and HMGP, HUD CDBG-DR, Treasury CRF and SLFRF, and Department of Energy grid resilience programs.
A native of Jackson, Mississippi, Alex earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Millsaps College and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
