Wes T. Winborne assumes managing partner role in HORNE Construction

Wes T. Winborne has assumed the role of managing partner in HORNE Construction, effective January 1, 2023.

Joel K. Bobo, the former managing partner, will remain a partner in Construction until his retirement in January 2024.

“Wes has been an integral part of the HORNE team for more than 20 years, and his business knowledge and relationship with clients will help the Construction focus area and the firm continue to grow,” said HORNE Managing Partner Neil Forbes. “Joel’s contributions in the last 27 years have helped clients and HORNE achieve their goals, and I appreciate his dedication and service to the firm.”

Winborne began working at HORNE in 2000 and has more than 20 years of experience providing audit and tax services, as well as management advisory services to contractors.

“Construction companies have more challenges and opportunities now than ever,” Winborne said. “I want to continue serving our clients to help them navigate these changes and grow their business.”

Bobo joined HORNE in 1992 and provides assurance and advisory services to large privately owned companies. He serves as a financial advisor to several boards across Mississippi and previously served as the chair of HORNE’s Board of Directors.

“For the past 30 years, I have worked closely with construction companies and their leaders to help them build their businesses,” Bobo said. “It has been my privilege to watch them grow, just as I have done with HORNE.”
