Twelve charities in six regions across the country received a total of $360,000 thanks to HORNE and the HORNE Community Foundation.
As part of its 60th anniversary celebration, HORNE employees voted on non-profits nominated from six regions where the firm serves in the U.S. mainland, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The foundation, on behalf of HORNE, awarded $60,000 every week for six weeks, for a total of $360,000.
The foundation also donated $1,000 each to the remaining 34 charities that were nominated but not selected, bringing, the total amount donated to $394,000.
“Throughout the past 60 years, HORNE has grown from a local accounting practice to a nationwide professional services firm with a purpose of delivering with care,” said Neil Forbes, HORNE’s managing partner. “As part of our celebration, we wanted to show our commitment to the communities we call home and our appreciation to the charities who give so much of themselves to help those in need.”
The HORNE Community Foundation was established by the firm’s partners in 2021 to provide financial support to the areas where team members live and serve.
